I've been doing a bit of research in to buying my first caravan but was told that as I have a WV Caddy Van I may encounter some problems as a lot of places will not allow commercial vehicles & caravan setups on site?
Is the van sign written, if so that may cause issues. The CCC don't generally seem to mind but some wardens (I can't get used to calling them site managers) are more strict than others. I use a CCC site in Wales regularly. I used to tow my caravan down using my car, then I would go and collect a sign written hire van (having informed the wardens) leaving my car at the hire company base. Some would allow me to park the van on 'my' pitch and some would insist it was parked in the visitors car park. Some commercial sites don't allow vans sign written or not. Really it's just best to ask before booking or turning up as not all sites will have the same rules.

Many thanks....it's not sign written just a plain white Caddy & will be empty when I go anywhere as I'll be leaving my tools at home. Is it just CCC sites that I my encounter a problem on do you think?
I suppose the Caddy is the VW equivalent of the Berlingo. This too is based on the van, but I use it without any problem. I can`t see you having one either. Good luck!

I think you'll be least likely to have a problem with C&CC sites, actually - from their Policies: " Trading
i Touting and commercial advertising is not allowed, no advertising notices should be displayed on a unit.
ii Trading is not allowed on site, unless agreed with a member of the Holiday Site team.
iii Customers can post classified adverts on the website under Members Classified, charges may apply.
iv A firm's car or van, which has the firm's name and description on the sides, is acceptable at sites.
You may have a problem with some commercial Holiday Parks!
I think many sites ban them incase the travelling community were to decent upon a site.
As long as you tell the site when booking, I don't see a problem. Some people only have a company vehicle and its discriminating against them isn't it?
At the end of the day, if they don't want your custom, they are the ones loosing out, as you won't return.
I have a metallic blue vw caddy and various caravan club sites say its ok to bring onto site, never done it yet, as just use car, don't want a knock back after a long tow.i use van for dogs and bikes
