I would think ok for a couple of nights/weekender on their own, and better with an awning for longer holidays. Certainly very lightweight so good on fuel when towing.

Depends really on what you intend using it for. No living space and the kitchen is exposed to the elements without an awning. Fine if you just want somewhere to lay your head and make a brew but not everso practical for more than a couple of nights. There are many small lightweight vans on the market with much more living space, have a look at mine, piccies on profile............Mick

hi .i have had a teardrop for over twenty years .mine is more like a sidecar shape .was built over 30yrs ago. the back lifts like a tail gate and i can press stud an awning around the lifted door . cooking toilets etc can be done inside . also the back makes a seating area . i have taken it all over europe morocco and to several m,bike or vw shows over the years . my son slept in it for nine months on one of our big trips .towed it behind my vwt2 at the time . had a great time . sorry never quite managed to get pics on here . but there is a club for tears . the teardop club of great britain .or tcgb.give a google and have a look .
the awning was made at the same time as the tear. it as a further extention to the awning for others to kip on the floor or on a camp bed.
must say i use my mini artic most of the time but the tear is a usfull bit of kit.
