Good result by Swift in the end, but it showed how poor the caravan warranty system is, and how it should have been brought into line with the car system long ago.
Seems all the times the van went in for repair..7 times i think..the dealer did not use the correct sealant etc under warranty so you cant blame swift for that.

The warranty work may well have been faulty but if the caravan had been built correctly in the first place it wouldn't have needed the warranty work.
Well said. And I'm sure it would of continued to have had warranty work if the BBC had not stepped in.
Just got around to watching this nice result for the owners responsibility may have lay with the now defunct dealer but as said before if the van had been built properly in the first place. Also if you are a dealer for a company what sort of quality control is the manufacturer putting in place to ensure the warranty work is carried out correctly.
As a satisfied swift owner for the past 12 years with various vans I can say that I've never had problems as I'm sure many on here will agree but hey no manufacture is perfect and there will always be problems some where along the line baileys alutech toyota cars bosch dishwashers spring to mind but fair play to swift for getting it sorted and if you look on swift talk website you will find people on there have had problems sorted by swift and their dealers with no problems and it sounds as the dealer was at fault anyway and you will find people complaining about dealers on most caravan forums
