We are going to pick up our Eriba Puck L next Tuesday, I am very excited , but are wondering what we do about the gas bottles. Are there health and safety restrictions on storing them and do you need to notify your home insurers (the Puck L will be stored at home).
Never told anyone I use the gas bottles but within normal use on a caravan they are safe.it is taken as read if you have a van you have a gas bottle.you do need a triangle sign next to where its kept for the fire brigade.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
the fire brigade don't like it if you keep them IN the house, but sheds/caravans is fine.
Speaking to my local fire officer, he said a warning sign isn't necessary if its a caravan or shed, they take it as read that there is gas in it (and they only ever control these fires anyway, and let them burn out), only if you keep bottles somewhere out of the norm, ie a works van, or outhouse attached to the main house that its needed.
Hi JulieEllen,go for one of the more common brands as the obscure brands are often not available on sites ,calor is always available on site and most roadside filling stations. Ps enjoy the new van !
We get ours from our local calor gas centre (which if you google it you can easily find your local one). You can also pick them up from the majority of caravan / camping shops too.
If it's Calor gas you are after then click on the link, enter your post code and it will provide you with nearest stockist in your area. Hope this helps.
