I didn't realise until recently you can live in your own caravan on certain sites. Does anyone know how to go about finding information on sites,etc. Really am interested in doing this but need to know about this a bit more. I have no pets, no children, just me. How do you deal with the permanent address issue, insurance council tax, tv licence etc etc. Any info very gratefully received, are there any websites set up for people wanting this alternative lifestyle. Many thanks in advance for any help.

May be wrong but I thought you were only allowed 28 nights,or is this just on a club site?

I think that is a C&CC ruling.  My van has been on the same pitch since delivered here by the dealer 18 months ago.  I don't live here however, I have a home elsewhere - I think there can be problems in not having a permanent address, especially if you ever needed to claim benefits.

There are caravan sites for permanent residence. I lived on one many years ago. I had to pay rates, water rates, metered electric and had a permanent site address. Try your local authority.
