We've had our caravan for couple of years and used it plenty times over that time. In all that time we've been lighting the gas hob and grill on our cooker with a hand held lighter or scrabbled around for matches or cig lighter to do the job.
However, we've recently discovered there's an in-built hob lighter which works fine and does the job, it's not hidden as it's next to the other main switches - talk about not being able to see the wood for the trees!
Anyone else discovered something in their caravan they didn't know was there?
Well it was a voyage of discovery for us when we started out with our van a couple of years back but almost certain we have found everything now but you never know

Not in our caravan but in our folding camper.......After several trips out in it we decided it would nice to have running water so duly bought a water pump. Connected it up, twisted the tap nozzle - nothing. Asked at our local camping shop for ideas and were told there would be a switch to start the pump. We hunted high and low, inside and out without success until I looked under my foot and found a dome switch on the floor. Pressed it and hey presto - runnung water!
It must be a jinks after what I just posted I went out to the van do a wee bit and on emptying the wardrobe in the rear washroom I noticed a round hole in the floor for the first time leading me to finding a hatch leading to the far bottom rear of the van
Now is there hidden treasure in thereor DAMP I had to know, slowly lifting the hatch with trepidation expecting the worst what did I find.
B***er all
But I didn't find damp and I did find out something new in my van after two years
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
The only thing that was in there was the waste pipe for the washroom hand basin going through the floor. So I assume it was put there for access to this but it would be handy spot for hiding goodies or as suggested Valuables.
I wonder how many bottles of whiskey I could get in there? Trip across the channel me thinks
