Hi all, lovely to be here!

I am very excited as I have just got my first tourer caravan a Freedom Sunseeker! It is a 2007 model, 4 berth (bunk bed). Always wanted a caravan and have saved for a while, me and my partner are looking forward to weekends away once a month. It came with the official awning which was great as they seem expensive to buy from Freedom. Few questions if I may as I am a newbie :)

Not had a proper chance to play around in it although its in excellent condition. But does anyone know how you set the beds up in this caravan. I am sure I will work it out on Saturday morning but at the moment I am at a loss when just using my head to think how it works. Maybe I am just having a thick moment, apologies!

How easy is the awning to go up on the Freedoms, hoping to have a go in June with this when we first take it away. Not got the space to do this at home.

Also I got it for just under £4000 with two full gas bottles and the awning included 2007 model. Was that a good price or have I been ripped off? I suppose its beside the point but it would be good to know for the future when I go a big bigger.

Sorry I'm at a loss too. My First class one, to make the double bed at the front, there should be wooden slats under the front seat, all joined by some webbing material which is pulled across the lip under the two side cushions. Use the back cushion to compete the bed. Can be fiddly but with practice.............! I thought a Sunseeker was 3 berth, so the rear seat and table convert to the 3 bed? And that would be remove the table, remove the table stand, replace the table between the two seats. Bunks? I really am at a loss.
Putting the awning up. I can do it single-handed now. Due to the size, it is very easy with two people.
The price you paid, pretty good.
We got ours last year and it was our first caravan, they are fantastic. Had several trips last year. And now we are off to Switzerland next week with ours.
You too will love it.

Our cousin has a sunseeker which is a 4 berth. The table is used as the base of the beds, this rests on the ridge on the edge of each seat. She has however bought some slats of wood and now uses these insead of the table.

We had a 1992 Sunseweker and loved it. Should last for ever.

The double bed was drop the table down and use the cushions. Simple.

At the front there was a single dinette (table and seats which convert to a single bed) and a bunk above. The bunk was just two poles and a piece of canvas that slotted into a couple of brackets on the wall.

The awning was just put all the poles together with the canvas over. It was a bit different to the norm though because it was longer than the Freedom. There were some extra little short poles that made up this section.

Hi all! Thanks for the welcome/ information everyone.

I have now successfully worked out the beds! The front double has a layer of slats that pull out from the window seat. The back single bed was just the table lowered.

The bunk bed does not look very secure, not sure if we will be using that :-/!

The awning will have to wait till I go but thanks for the basics, I am sure we will get the hang of it with two of us putting it up!

Soooo excited now :)

Hi there I to have a sunseeker 4 berth van we love it. Our bunk was removed by previous owner and I am looking to reinstate it. If you decide you dont want it please let me now. Ps they are a cool little van they get loads of looks. Enjoy it
