Morning Paul.
I run development programs for the auto industry & specialise in Polymer panels. Firstly, we need to understand what panel you have. The heading of your post mentions Acrylic & GRP. They are very different ! Acrylic capped ABS is a thermoplastic but can crack if impacted or if the capping gets scratched & UV gets to the ABS. GRP is a thermoset & will crack for a variety of reasons. If it is GRP (you can check by looking at the back in you gas locker - smooth for thermoformed materials, with a nobbly/rough back for GRP), there are a variety of things you can do without getting to the back. If the crack is small & not spreading, you can put some exterior mastic over them or run a capillary action low viscosity glue into it. If it is cracking further, cracks can be ground out & filled from the outside - I often drill a fine hole at the end of them before doing the repair to stop it running further. You may find that a boat yard would know of a GRP expert. If you need any more help in detail, let me know.
