I have one of these quite easy to put up, helps if there are two of you. Start outside poles first, then inside zip up section poles for the sides & length.
Make sure the doors are zipped CLOSED fully then peg the corners closest to the caravan first, slighty under the van if possible then the outside corners
I wouldn't be without tension poles as they really help, stops rain water pooling on the roof. Also they keep awning roof square and rigid when its windy/blowing a gale!
I also have the pad poles, for the sides. Take care if you use these and your covering any part of your window as the pads could scratch the windows if they are too close against them. Sand/grit/crud can get between the down pads and the window, it acts like sandpaper on your lovely van windows. (I Just found this out a couple of weeks ago when we went to a windy North Wales for a week!)
