Hi all, we are picking up our new Adria Sportline DT next Saturday. Since choosing her I've been looking for an insert to go in the drawers for cutlery. As the drawers are long and narrow I'm having trouble. Could anyone tell me what they use please?
Failing that has anyone got theirs on their drive to give me measurements of the drawers so I can look more thoroughly online.
Hi there, we are buying the sportline DK, or hope to be anyway We have been looking at them today. I also mentioned the cutlery drawer as its not a standard size for one. They suggested looking in Ikea as they sell dividers or cutting one of their plastic versions down to size. We will probably go the Ikea route first heehee.
Check Ikea part 30160308 or better still (as deep drawer specific) 60160298. Both will probably need some adapting.

Yeah I did see these and wonder. As people sometimes brand the Adria caravans as Ikea on wheels it was the first place I looked
We looked at both the DT and DK, decided that the end bathroom was too much of a plus to pass on, although shutting the kids off would be a bonus let us all know if you decide to join the Adria club lol sooooo giddy, can't wait
LOL. We did look again at the DT but its just not for us. The DK with its seperate 2nd room is to much of a plus for us. Am having a few extras added like external socket, electric for the heating and a tv point to the front. We did look into having a larger heiki roof put in as they can do that, but they are charging £700 for that, so not sure. Also the draining/chopping board
And as for Adria being Ikea, they need to go look at the cheapy fixtures/fittings in the Bailey Orion LOL. That was our other choice and is the reason why we prefer the Adria lol.
at Kenies, does the cutlery tray fit without modifying it? If so, we need to visit a Wilkinsons lol.
The good thing is there is no rush to have it done, you can easily upgrade it at a later date. We intend on having our tourer placed on a seasonal pitch which happens to be open at Christmas time so will most likely need the extra heat boost, hence why we will have it done now. Just can't wait!!
We had a 542DT and we got our drawer inserts from a German supermarket on holiday a few years ago! Sorry that this is not much help😉
We had an outside socket fitted and an extra sky light at the bunk bed end which let a lot of light in at that end.
We loved our DT and only changed because our 3 boys outgrew the bunks. ( they are 16 15 and 11 now) and OH wanted fixed bed.
Now have another adria and love it just as much 😍
Hi Shelleybobs, just to update you with regards to the drawer sizes -
38.5cm long
18.5cm wide
12.5 - 13cm high
These are the internal measurements for which any insert will need to fit.
Today we have put a deposit down on the Adria Sportline DK so we are now very excited Spent a good couple of hours again messing about with this and that and questioning everything including the bathroom walls and ceiling. Ceiling is not white like the walls in the bathroom and is instead the same as the rest of the caravan. Wanted to know how waterproof it all was lol. The bailey had plastic waterproof walls so it of course made us question the adria's version as the walls are the same throughout. Also re-checked out the DT to make absolutely sure, this time i spent time sitting down at the table and getting our son to climb in each of the bunks lol, but he is the same as us and prefers the DK. Did notice on the DT, after sitting ourselves down that the wheel arch runs past the side seating so means you can't sit right up to the window. Our lot like to share seats and you can easily do that in the DK as the wheel arch is under the cooker one side and then slightly protrudes in the bathroom on the other...so thankfully doesn't touch any of the seating areas. One negative on the DK though and i have never seen anyone mention it is that it doesn't have a toilet roll holder or a towel rail....not like every other caravan. We are having to have them fitted. Apparently this is an oversight, but its costing us to have them put in. All the DK's including the Altea Seven does not have them in as standard lol. And we've been in a few of these at various dealers. Very weird.
We love the 2013 version of the DK since its update from previous years. The back room where it originally had the extra seating opposite the bunks has now gone from it being a double bed where it impeded with the bunk beds....you couldn't get out without stepping on the double bed....to a larger single seating area with a pull out 6th bunk bed over the top if needed and in-between the seating area and bunk beds now has a large doored cabinet with TV area on top and sockets. Have asked for the elephant lights in the bunk bed area to be replaced with plain one's. Like the concept but too young for our brood. Would be nice to have a choice As said before we have had some extra's put in, one being TV sockets and wall bracket to be fitted in and on the wardrobe, next to the front seating area....means we can watch tv at the front or at the back area. External socket so things can be plugged in from the outside if necessary...especially when awning is up.....yes we have gone for the free awning offer Extra socket in the kitchen. Draining/chopping/bowl set from Baileys....this was an extra £50, said to hubby we could probs have got it cheaper elsewhere but said that he had good offers on other things so didn't mind that one lol. Also we had the electric aspect added onto the gas fire. Can't remember what else off hand except we also bought everything else that one needs to use the caravan like water carriers and alko wheel protectors or whatever they are called. Loads of things lol.
Its nice to hear that Bignose....more positivity about the Adria's
I found one to fit my cutlery drawer in a local hardware shop, but although it did fit, I found I couldn't get as much in the drawer, so I took it out again, and I now have a wrap with pockets, which I made myself. All the cutlery goes in this and I untie when I get there, it stops it all moving about while on the road.
We just use a sandwich box that we had the cutlery in when we camped in a tent. When it goes for a service the upgrades we are considering are external socket to plug the beer and wine cooling box in and electric heating element. A fan heater is great for cool summer evenings like now, but we took an oil filled radiator when we went in feb and left it on even when out and at night to make sure things didn't freeze. I didn't want to risk leaving fan heater on. The radiator Was bulky to carry so I think the electric heating would be good to leave on as background when it's really cold with gas used as a initial boost. The benefit is that the warm air is circulated around the van, especially the bathroom.
Hi
I have the dk we love it the grandkids want to move into it. Had a few hicups at the start but every things fine now, also we have put it on a seasional pitch this year so we are using it a lot more.

Hi beecherk, that's really great to know. We seriously can't wait to collect it. Won't be till the end of June though i don't expect as they have had quite a few orders for the Adrias
andyfisher and jax, thanks for the ideas on the cutlery drawer
shelleybobs, that wire one looks to be the best size, will definitely go check that one out. Also, are you staying up at Ventures camping site when you collect your caravan this weekend? If so, let us know what its like and how you get on. Not long to wait now for your caravan
