We have a 1995 Abi Dawnstar which we've had for 4 years. Usually to heat up the hot water we do this by switching on the water heater panel, it heats up v quickly and lasts us about a day, we switch it off later and turn back on in the morning as the water needs reheating. Not a problem. However on our last two trips the water has been permanently hot, almost scalding, and we don't know why. Even though we've pressed the normal water heater button off (green light goes off when we do this) the water is always hot. We wonder if the gas supply is heating it constantly, but how? We thought the electricity supply heated the water but maybe we are wrong, our caravan manual doesn't help. There are no other lights showing on the panel & we're not aware of pressing something else inadvertently. Can anyone shed some light on this? Many thanks.
