Hi,we have a breathable groundsheet down first, then a Breathable matting/ carpet. You can Usually get them your exact size of your awning. I mention breathable ,as to my knowledge that is all the caravan and camping parks allow. If you are on hard standing , we usually don't bother,or just put a small mat down.you can get your matting / carpet in all different colours as well. We got ours from Glossops caravans. If you give them a ring they are very helpful and will point you in the right direction.

Breathable ground sheet here as well we do have a big tarpaulin we take if there's no rules on what you use and it looks like rain but put yhe breathabel one on top as its nice under foot we make sure the ground sheetsactuly go up the seaming walls a bit with the awning flaps under it so the water goes underneath our porch awaing flaps go outside and that does the same job if the flooring just goes up the wall slightly

On a serious point, when we were touring, I use to take some tarpolins and a lenght of carpet I had for a tena from my local carpet shop that sells off cuts.
The nice fresh cream coloured carpet really does make it cosey.

What if you use a length of tarpaulin for a tenner, to make it nice and cosy.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

Same here actually! I do have a groundsheet for if it's particularly wet, but I prefer just the grass. You don't have to keep brushing it, or hoovering it or whatever ppl do when they have one.
Any crumbs are soon pecked up by the birds once you leave, although if there's a big spill of something, I wouldn't leave that but would pick/ brush it up.

To be honest when we had the tent I never bothered with the ground sheet either if it was dry to start with Just another thing to clean up!
