Still looking to find a suitable caravan and have a question for you, again! We are looking at buying a caravan around 20years old so interior Will need looking at. My question is this; can I paint the inside of a caravan or is it best to strip walls and wallpaper?
We wallpapers our last van. But you could not strip the old paper of as it was bonded to the wood so we used a heavily embody paper and it cover the weave affect paper that was all ready there no problem

As already said you may not have to ours is 24 years old and the walls and ceiling are immaculate we just reupholstered the seats made new curtains and laid new flooring.
I have not done this myself but there was a post a few weeks back about the same thing and someone said to use white PVA glue watered down instead of wall paper paste ?

That's what we did as wall paper paste did peel back. Had no problem with the pva glue the paper stayed up for years and was till fine when we gave her away

Just painted my van's bathroom white last week, used bathroom anti-mould paint, took 3 coats to cover the original patterned paper, looks fresh and bright now!
