I Think we all know which group of scumbags are responsible. This week police raided our local "site" recovered 2 stolen vans, 2 stolen caravan, £50,000 worth of stolen electrical eqipment, a sawn off shotgun and ammo
Many thanks for all your replies, it does help. We thought it was the end of our caravaning after 40years, but woke up this morning and thought, why let them spoil our lives, we have been out and sourced another van, the dealer is prepared to wait until we are payed out the insurance co have been in touch so we will be away again soon I hope.
Some things cannot be replaced though, silly things like a tea pot that was a wedding present to us 47 years ago, cups bought in France in our days travelling there, never mind we start again.
Once again many thanks for your thoughts.

Good on you. Don't let the scumbags win by putting you off your hobby. Maybe consider a tracker this type that activates the moment the caravan is moved. Hopefully they are then caught in the act!
I'm so sorry to hear of your theift, thieving gits, but I'm glad to know you've not let them put you off :)

Adopt a rescue, rescue dogs make great pets, don't support puppy farms.
The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
Really sorry to hear your news hope they catch them and you get your pride and joy back all ok.
By the way Andy Higham is talking total rubbish about your insurance assessor he is there to give you advice and settle your claim as quick and fairly as possible. People only have to worry if they have not told the truth when taking out their policy.
As an insurance assessor myself I take offence to this.
I really hope all works out in the end for you and don't worry we are not the scum people seem to think we are.
It makes me so sad and very angry to hear of what's happened to you. What is wrong with these people? Do they not understand the upset they cause? Obviously not, but I believe they will get their comeuppance at some time.
At least you weren't hurt thank God. Stay strong and get yourself a nice new caravan. You will always have the memories even if the objects have gone.
absolutley heart wrenching reading that.ive had a car stolen before(cost 600 quid) and know how I felt.
i think id do time if i caught anyone stealing my van.
if it wasnt so reckless id coat the hitchlock with petrol.
