I thought you said earlier you get your water from containers you carry to save battery power if this is the case can't see the point in having a filter fitted to improver the taste of your cupper if your not drawing water through it . Perhaps that is were very reasonable comment on getting a filter jug came from Jax came from.
Well spotted andy4x4. I can't see the point either of changing the water filter if the pump is not used to deliver water through the system with water only being stored in containers. I hope the containers have been sterilised!

Yes you’re quite right andy 4x4 that’s exactly what I said. But there is no guaranteewhen the water board might decide to chlorinate their mains. In which case I could simply use the pump with its in line filter to make the tea and coffee. The 5lt carriers would still be used for washing up, the toilet flush, filling kettles to heat on the barbie, and cold water required in the bathroom. I also said the suggestion of a filter jug was fine but of no advantage to me as my van already has a dedicated filter.
