Talking about dropping myself in it.

Going to Manchester to see Bon jovi in concert on saturday and booked a cc site to take the van up.

Was looking at Burrs country park which was also 12 miles away from Etihad stadium where concert is. The other day I went to check the details / directions only to fingd I had booked in at Chester some 55 miles away.

Had to cancel but now can not find anywhere near by as Burrs is now full. Have tried ringing to see if any cancelations but nothing at the moment.

Lokks like will be driving up and coming back same day.

OH not happy at all!!!!!

Anyone got any suggestions of other sites?

The Carriage House Standedge.  Still 12 miles away, but has a pub with food and sheep.  At weekends hand gliders use the hill behind, and sheep.  Bleak moorlands and sheep,  Huddersfield over the hill and sheep.   Hope you like sheep

The site is fenced to keep the sheep out. 

Stay in a hotel if need be, Rod stewart is playing at the MEN on the same night so manchester will be well busy, however he had to cancel last night due to a throat infection ?? if he does this for manchester i reckon you'll get a hotel room no problem

its not 55 miles from Etihad to Chester!    I reckon at night it'll be about a 45min drive tops. There's also a fair distance between the Etihad and the MEN so you won't get caught up with Rod Stewart traffic. From the stadium just head east to the motorway, and zoom down the M56 to Chester.
