Not a very efficient way of powering stuff to be honest, especially for longer period of time; I'd be concerned if your reliant on the breathing equipment overnight.
Can you find the wattage of each item? This should be shown on a rating label of some sort on each appliance.

Most likely not, straightners need a pure sine wave invertor and would depend on power rating too, cheap invertors use a modified sine wave. Best this would do is power a laptop or a small tv.
As for breathing machine I have no idea, you would need to test that along with, I would suggest, check how long the battery would last running it too.

I think if you need a breathing machine overnight you should only consider site's with EHU as I don't think a battery can be relied on
Thanks paul......he can go without...its a c pap for sleep apnoea...he just snores a lot without it.....his machine actually ssys 12v---- 5.0A and straightners 35w ...when off EHU we have a 100w solar panel charging battery...it is a rarity that we are off EHU but just want to make sure it is safe to use invertor...your comments are appreciated

DaveCoaches has taken the words right out of my mouth.
Use of the inverter isn't very efficient so if the C-Pap device can be ran off 12v, it would be better to operate that direct.
As for the hair straighteners ... well I'm a bloke so best not comment further, other than agreeing with Ajturs comment regarding inverters output.
Can't you get some that run off a small gas cartridge for occasional use?
EDIT: Sorry Vonc, posted while you were too. If a 12v cable is available for device, run off that for non-EHU use.
