As I am a little deaf,at night I ask the other half to stand about 10ft away from the van,I adjust the volume to my satisfaction and if she says she can't hear it then we leave it at that, and yes,I do call her bat ears at times
We are seasonal an noticed quite alot of people have the tv in the awning, as for us we love getting comfy in the van on an evening an watching tv! However we have 2 tv's in the van, one for us up front an one for the kids at the back, i think a 3rd in the awning would be a step too far!!

I dont like listening to other peoples telly whilst I am sat in my van or outside my van it drives me mad
I think I've seen others like this too. To combat it, they turn their tv louder, problem solved, you can't hear the other persons TV anymore!
I have a TV in the awning and I am carefull its not too loud , I go to the loo's and listen! However, not everyone goes away for " A peacfull weekend " .........
I like to hear children playing and riding there bikes, dogs barking , grannies enjoying themselves etc etc. I love to watch "other halves " directing the driver reversing the caravan, lol. Great to see the couple having " Awning Rage " All the hustle and bustle, the people watching.......It's what we missed and why we returned to having a tourer ater several years in a static !
It's a no-no from me, we even play music (quietly) from inside the van when we sit in the awning and make sure it cannot be heard more than a few steps from our pitch.
