Have just used my van for the first outing of the year. Could only get water in the sink if I slightly cracked open the tap in the washbasin. Is it an airlock do you think

Do you mean you can only get water in kitchen sink if washbasin tap opened? If so, this a classic symptom of a failed micro-switch on the tap. The switch should simply actuate the pump while the tap is open, but if the switch fails, then the system is being tricked to run by operating the other tap.
If you can confirm then we could advise further.

think also a failed micro switch on one of the taps,if you open another tap near by,then you are starting the pump with the other tap and making it flow from both taps.
possible the micro switch in the tap is faulty and not opening fully.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Depends on the tap unfortunately. Some allow access to the switch underneath, some have it built in and some are even designed whereby you can't replace the switch and have to replace the whole thing!
Start off by looking beneath the tap and tracing any wires up to see where they go and if the switch is visible. Usually only a pair of wires but some taps have three.
If you get stuck, see if you can post a photo of the tap or even check out this site here to try and compare taps.
