We're off with the new to us caravan on Tuesday or we might be now. So we decided to clean out the water sistem. Everything on place purclean in the barral and throw the kitchen taps fine I go to turn on the bathroom tap/shower and nothing comes out then I look down and my feet are wet and there's water pooring down from under the sink unit panic sets in turn the tap off water stops hubby runs in sink panels removed and someone's disconnected the water from the tsp/shower head. Lucky we got in there fast with towels and got the main water out a but got under the door do the carpet was ripped up quick and this morning everything's dryed out and nothing seams damp or soft. But why would you disconrtv the head when its been reconnected there's no leaks so make no sence but thank goodness we checked stuff first or we could have been in major trouble.

We have a wet carpet and were going to get my brother in law as a second set of eyes to look over the pipe to make sure we have not missed anything as to why it was disconnected. We keep looking but can't see why it was done

How peculiar, Angel! It sounds like the ppl who had it before you either didn't use the water pump (or they would have soon found out!) or they disconnected it to drain, maybe at the end of the summer, so there was no frost damage over winter - then perhaps forgot to reconnect it! That's the only explanation I can think of anyway!
I'm glad you found it before you went away and not after you got there!
Its quite possible that the pipe has blown due to frost and come apart at the joint. This has happened to me once. I now blow all the water out of the system when I drain it down for the winter by removing the shower head and giving it a good blow which hopefully removes any water from the system ( with all taps shut and drain valve open).

Hope it's all OK, you must be really excited for your first trip in your lovely styled van.
We are last night I was cancelling the trip and pulling my hair out when I saw al the water but today things aren't so bad. Spoke to the last owner and they had never actually turned the water on in the bathroom so it could have been disconnected for years

That's looking the most likely. As there just seams no other cause we keep testing and looking and can find no other problem to explain it being disconnected the last owner didn't even know the tap came out and hooked on the wall to be a shower. Thankfully we decided to get the van sorted now and not Tuesday day time as were going Tuesday night we would never have got it sorted glad I nagged hubby to check everything.

The vans been checked over again and al seams fine. BIL has checked as well and there's no leaks anywhere. When they looked under the shower try its been relaminated like the rest of the floor do may be it was disconnected when that was done. And as the last owner never used the bathroom taps in the van they never noticed. So all is back in place and reseald. There's weight on the shower tray till the sealant drys so if we can pop the flooring back down tomorrow fingers crossed everything ok
