I have my van on here, on Preloved and on Gumtree - all are free to advertise. As soon as I get a free minute with my brain engaged and no toddler shouting at me, I'd like to list it elsewhere, but where ..?
I'm guessing eBay will probably work out most expensive as there will be the listing cost and the final fee?
£35 on Caravanfinder only gets me four photos, which doesn't seem many - only one better than Preloved and no comparison with here!
I'm not sure how many photos the WebStandard £15 deal on Autotrader buys me as it looks like I have to put the advert on there first then choose a package...
Where do you look when you are buying, and what have you found to be the best value for money?
Ebay reaches widest audience because everybody looks there wherever else they look. You can place a classified, you don't need to auction it but if you do fees ain't that high. You will get buyers come to view during auction & if one makes you a good cash offer, take it & cancel the auction before the end once you have the money then you only pay listing fee.

Thanks J&J. I've bought and sold through eBay for a fair while, but only ever using auctions.
I keep trying to navigate my way through the options of Buy It Now versus Classified, plus or minus Best Offer, versus Auction (with or without Reserve) but my brain keeps grinding to a halt! Why would anyone use Classified when they could do Buy it Now with Best offer? Gah!!!
We recently sold our van on ebay I think the insertion fee was £10.00 as it comes under cars/motor vehicle and the final fee was £20 if sold for under £2000 then after £2000 it's 10% of the sale price. If it doesn't sell you don't pay a final fee but you do get to put up 9 pictures
We've just sold our caravan through the Caravan Club classifieds ads which are free. We did put it on ebay first as a classified ad which cost around £16 for 28 days. No interest of all from the ebay ad but sold after 3 days through CC ad.
I think some people don't like buying off ebay, our buyers wouldn't even consider it they said.

Ah, thank you both!
Savanne - daft as it sounds, I've looked at quite a few ads on there this week but it had still failed to register on my list of places to sell! Will do that tomorrow.
We sold our previous caravan through eBay classifieds in 2010. Only issue is you get a lot of time wasters wanting it for nothing! One couple offered us less than £2000 than our asking price.
We sold it the following week for our asking price and the buyer did not even quibble.
Three years later the same caravan sells for about £1000 less than what we sold it for and we still regret selling it, but what can you do when you are made redundant!
