In the 5 years we've had our Senator, until last w/e, we had never used it without hook-up. All worked well except I never felt that the fridge achieved a 'safe' level of cold, certainly nowhere nearly as cold as on electric even on maximum setting. I certainly could'nt have kept anything frozen. Is this usual?
Caravan is always fully serviced annually at dealership.
From what others have said and from personal experience too, the fridge normally gets colder operated by gas power than what it does by 240 volts electric power and because of this the thermostat on gas doesn't actually need turning up as high as what electric does so as advised try turning it down and see if it works.
