It really amazes me that caravan makers can't build a waterproof box, FFS tents are waterproof and they are just cloth sewn together

We have just bought a 16 year old Bailey Ranger and a check with the damp meter showed it at 15%.

Thank you all who have contributed to this topic. I know my new purchase is well within the acceptable limit.

I would maintain that a small electric heater throughout the year thermostatically controlled, would alleviate much perceived damp, all mould and particularly condensation which causes it.  And keep it cosy.  If my £600 Daisy May deserves it, then so does yours!  I think it`s well worth the small extra cost, rather like cheap insurance.  And it becomes a comfortable hideaway . . . .!
