We have been away for a week and the pull out slats that go down the middle of the bed keep sloping of at one side. If I move or ro over you here pop and ones slid of the lip. I am up 4 or 5 times a night putting them back its driving me mad. Anyone have an idea how I can stop it we didn't have slats on the last caravan you used the table and it was a nightmare to do do when we spotted pull out slats we thought brill. No more climing about trying to get 2 table tops in position.

Temporary repair, looks like a trip to B&Q.
buy some new wood strips of the correct size size, (they will cut them to size for you) and lay them next to the pull out ones in your van, this should stop the bed collapsing.
when you get home you can then staple the new slats to the original tape
I agree with Alpiner, but you may need to remove the old slats before stapling the new slats in their place or your slatted pull out may not fold back into its storage area.
If you are doing this, replace each, one at a time so that the new slats go in exactly where the old slats came off.
What i have done on my present and previous van was to drill a small hole through the last slat on either side making sure it is under slight tension (so slats will not move or become loose when you lie on the bed).Make sure your hole goes through whatever is underneath (wooden or plastic runner),then when you make the bed up you can secure slats with a small length or metal (old hook or an allen key is what i use. The ones you get with flatpack furniture which are cr*p and no one uses). Worked for the last ten years for me!. Hope this helps.
Thanks mark that might work I'm sure it's vid the webbing sliding back and losing tension that they can twist a bit and ping off. I know hubby's got his drill with him fingers crossed he has some drill bits and not just the stay handle with it

Buy a 6ft length of wood strip about 1/8th inch thick by 3/4 inch wide. cut in two and stick to the inside edges of the runner rails with double sided tape. This will stop the runners moving from side to side so much.
If the slats move sideways in the runners, simply push some drawing pins into the ends. The heads will protrude enough to stop the slats moving sideways and keep them central.
