We've had no problems with our Bailey...absolutely love it.
had a slight problem with the pump on the toilet which was sorted free of charge but that was a thetford issue not Bailey themselves.

It really depends what year your Bailey was made. Our 2012 leaked so got rid quickly. Think the newer ones are probably O.K but once bitten etc......

we are on our 2nd bailey and "touch wood" not had too much of a problem, had a ranger for a couple of years till kids grew too big for bunks so now got an orion as only our daughter comes with us....we have had an issue with the heating, with the warning lights flashing all the time, been back to dealers and was sorted but when got it back home lights were still flashing. Dealer contacted Whale, who contacted husband and talked him through how to deal with it and reset it...both dealers and Whale have been more than helpful..

It is some of the first alu-leaks that have problems. Poor design and even worse manufacturing techniques.
It's noticeable that they have redesigned the front of most of the 2013 offerings.

I have read of a few leaks in early alu-tech vans, most seemed to be the access hatches to the front lockers

So nothing to do with alu-tech more likely a problem with a bought in component

No. The leaks are due to bad design of the alu-tech and sealing of the sides to the floor both front and back.
I corrected ours myself but lost heart with the van. As it stands there is no way you can stop water driving under the front and getting between floor and sides. There weren't any skirts on the one we had.
Ours was a Pegasus 2.

We have a bailey Pageant S7 Sancerre, have had it since new, it has had new complete back - small cracks- done under warranty, went back to Bailey for new floor, work done under warranty, but customer service from Bailey terrible, dealer United British Caravans, great, just has a crack in front locker done under warranty, it seem like a lot of problems and we have looked at other vans but I cant fine anything I like better, I really love her warts and all.

And there's the problem! We really like our van! We've had various bits of snagging work done on it, but the water leaks are really doing my head in. But we really like the van!

Just wish that Bailey customer service was as good as the two dealer's that have been helping us try to resolve the issues.

So I'll just mention Lee Davey Caravans at Harrietsham and Milestone Caravans at Hawkinge in Kent - two cracking bunches of people who have really been banging the drum for us..

We brought this new in 2008 Bailey Discovery Mercury Series 5 Caravan for 5 years and it been service every year since new and well maintained .
Just had Brand New Heavy Duty Tyres Fitted May 2013 .
This Caravan has been outstanding
we are selling it due to ill health (Husband

Sorry to here about your problems we have just purchased a gt65 Rimini been out in it 4 times now with no trouble at all but after reading all this negativity hope nothing's around the corner.

Touching wood with everything crossed.

We've had two second hand Baileys, both no leak issues, Two mates have owned three of them between them. One of this three had constant leak issues. At one point he could see daylight at the rear of the van.

I think Bailey are probably on a par with the other manufactures to be honest. It's a bit of of a lottery with any of them, they are all pants when it comes to quality and customer service after the issue.

The thing is, that on forums like this, people can vent their frustration about things that go wrong by tapping it out on a keyboard... it's good to get it out of your system, especially to like minded individuals who understand what you're on about.
But, on the flip side, when everything is fine and dandy peeps don't feel the need to share as much.

(just an observation)
