Clean or shiny?

If it's dirty then a decent cleaner like fenwicks or aldi's caravan cleaner will remove traffic film and grime.

If it's just dull and lost it's shine then a compound will be needed to remove the surface layer of oxidation. These are like T cut but there's loads of different makes out there. Farecla as suggested above is very popular with the trades.

I cleaned mine recently and had nothing in apart from wash n wax for the car. So I thought I would try Granny's Soap Flakes (around £1 from cheapie shops). I used a bowl of the flakes dissolved in water and a softish dishwashing brush and it came up better than ever before. Bearing in mind it's an old van and really needs a respray, I have to say I was impressed... especially as it started raining just as I finished washing it, so I didn't have to rinse it!
