You don't have full enjoyment of your pitch because you cannot erect your awning, so you need to upset somebody. How about the warden by asking for half your pitch fees back? It sounds as if there are no marked out pitches so your neighbour is parking where your awning should go to give himself space in front of his awning yes?

If there is a row of caravans then each one should have same amount of space for car/'van/awning in whatever combination they like, either your neighbour is nicking your space to give himself more space or the warden has incorrectly allocated spaces, either way don't put up with it.

So the neighbour on my off side has adopted caravan, awning car, then there is my van, then the neighbour on my door side has adopted car van awning. This leaves me with space for van and car but no awning. Its a seasonal and we don't want to upset either side and the warden is trying to keep the peace. Think we will have to play first come first served with the parking and see how that goes. We wont have the awning up much but want to be able to have space to sit outside.

TBh I would politely ask the neighbour on your door side if he could park his car over t'other side as you want to put up your awning. Go and have a stroll past and see if he is having the same prob. as you on his other side. He/she probably just parks there because it's more convenient for them and without thought - if you have no awning up, then he/she probably has assumed you're not going to use one and so have assumed they are ok parking there. Surely if you just point it out politely, they will most likely be accomodating?

I know I would be.

The other way is to wait until they have gone out, then put up your awning quick!

Whatever you decide you need to have open communication first. Start by informing them about the situation maybe they'll respond positively, sometimes its as simple as just asking.

Last weekend we did speak to them as to what was the rulling on parking, the warden was in on the conversation and he said we could park where we like and the neighbours just blanked us. This week we have arrived and the neighbours are parked at other side giving us room, however this may be because we arrived before them and had set out table etc for bbq. The neighbours on our off side are not here so this weekend is fine. Will see what the future brings.
