The same as tony. Ours specified we use the BPW diamond lock. I think it's the best as like the Alko it goes through the wheel straight into the chasis. It was a pain at first, but you get to find we're the right position is. If you have a mover then it's even easier.
Ours is caravan club and they say doesn't need to be BPW just one approved security device which could be hitchlock alone. They offer 10% discount for the diamond locks (must be two on same side of van) but after shelling out £600 for two of them not really worth it.
Read the small print on the cc insurance benefits page it states twin axle caravans must be fitted with Alko or BBW wheel locks as below
** Please note that twin-axle caravans must have two AL-KO Secure or BPW Diamond Wheel Locks fitted on the same side

Hi dark lord well we phoned them today and that's what we were told. Last time we 'opted' to have an Alko for the discount - we didn't have to have it for our current van. If they said 'must' have two BPWs then we'd suck it up and go with it. But as they haven't I'm thinking two different good locks for on site one being the nemesis along with the robstop hitchlock which comes with it and our big chunky milenco added to other side when on drive. As we know nothing really stops a persistent thief/group it's all about slowing them down with different mechanisms!
Hi Rhonda we are getting a dealer special Elddis Avante 636 with los of upgrades yes very excited. Seems triple bunk purchase was a good decision in 2010 as our trade in value is just £1000 less than we paid for it back then and we had a reich mover and used once Bradcot awning thrown in with that sale. Also with the Elddis we got them to put a 4 motor twin axle mover on it free of charge - seems July is also a very good time to buy! Pleased with ourselves but not smug as fingers crossed its a good van!
Where are you up to, is it tenting and static hols for you from now on, hope you are doing well xx
Ah I think you have mis read that, it means as a condition of receiving the 10% discount for fitting a preferred wheel lock. Meaning that you wouldn't get 10% discount for just one BPW diamond on a twin axle.
