I am still on the hunt for a front gas locker cover for our 1993 bailey Maru discovery 2 birth I am getting nowhere fast and being on a budget can't afford to have one made. I was wondering if manufacturers back then shared designs on body shapes or if there's a chance another make would fit it we can always change locks and hinges and spray it to change colour if we can just get a basic fit urgently

I don't think so - but they do use the same parts for several years and on several different models. It could be that any Bailey caravan from 1992 to 1996 had the same gas locker lid.

If you still have the old one, and it can be used as a mold, you might be able to find some firm nearby who can make one for you by using the old one as a mold at reasonable cost.
Thinking outside of the box, is the broken one reparable? Gorilla glue is good stuff!
Or could you make something up yourselves using wood or plastic?
We don't have the old cover I would have fixed it up with fibreglass if we had we just know it came off somewhere on the m6. I have emailed every breakers around the country or left messages only one even bothers to reply. Hubby and brother in law are going to see what they can make tomorrow for now dry and locked and staying in place will be a good start

Oh, what a shame. Good luck with making something up.
I think I would go to the nearest caravan breakers in person and see if you can find one you can adapt, if making something up yourselves is a temp. measure. Who knows - you might be able to make something better than the original! (fingers crossed with that one for you!)
I emailed practically every caravan breakers in the country for a used window for my caravan. Not many replied, perhaps about 5 out of maybe 30. But no window could be found, so I had to have one made from the mold of the old one. If it had been my window that had flown off, I would be in a mess now!
