Which goes on the front of the van and you put the 12v plug into it? Ours is an 83 sprite musketeer and we have the gas locker then the plug holders, then the handbrake etc. Sorry I know this isn't very technical!
Anyway I need the bit that holds the plug... On ours it is a kind of rounded off triangle in white. One side is missing. I know we will probably struggle due to the age of the van but until I know what to call the missing bit we are on a bit of a hiding to nothing!
Thanks all :)
Blimey, I`ve got two black ones! I never knew what they were for - my leads just hang. Wondered why there was nowhere to stow them . . .Oh dear, oh dear oh dear oh dear . . .thought I`d better say it before you lot do!
------------- Peripheral people don`t have as much excitement but they sure live longer
Make sure they are the right size before you buy - although I don't think that will be a great issue.
If they are set into the top of your casing, make sure they are not channeling any rainwater into them... doesn't make for good connections when they are sitting in a puddle of water... I always use a hitch cover over mine, but a large recycle bag would do just as well.

Ha! Maybe we don't need them after all anyway, then! :)
Our last caravan had two of these housings for storing the 12N/12S plugs. the drainage holes were quite small and could clog easily. I cut out most of the bottom faces, leaving just a small flange around the bottom of the recesses.
Our current van has a recess for the 13-pin plug, but I keep it protected under the hitch cover.
Most times, before connecting, I spray both the 13-pin plug and the socket on the car with silicone spray. It's more effective than WD40, and keeps the pins shiny clean.
