It's mostly the fault of the adults caring for them if children misbehave. My children were not angels when they were younger and were often quite noisy when they played but they did know how to respect other peoples property. Maybe the CC should not ban children but should have a rule "Well behaved children only" and if children do misbehave on any of their sites (and I mean really misbehave not just make a bit of noise while playing) then the parents membership should be suspended and they should be banned from CC sites for a certain amount of time as a result.

Babyfish..don't let the CC snobs put you off using CC sites.
I have just returned to caravanning after a few years but still remember some looking down their noses at my caravan as it wasn't the latest model.

I have rejoined the C.C as they have some great sites and will continue to have a bit of fun with "jones's" There are lots of ordinary C.C members who are just like us that don't bother keeping up with the jones's and are just into caravanning..

Yep, no problem with older vans.....when is a van considered older???....some people are very interested in them.

We see plenty of older vans on CC sites on our travels.

Once we get a "good" car or van, we tend to hang onto it, we don't care how old it is, it is still our palace!

I have never understood this old caravan / new caravan complex. Our first caravan was like a 100 years old or it felt like that due to it being a bit Spartan as we could not afford a newer one. As time went by we upgraded. We now have a 2011 caravan which we bought out of retirement money and a small inheritance. We look at old caravans as they remind us that we once had one and we have not changed much except around the middle.
Please do not have an inferiority complex just because your caravan is older as it is you and not them that is enjoying your break with your family and not theirs!

My previous caravan looked as tho Jeremy Clarkson had towed it around for a week,but it did the job that I wanted it for,and as I have several years experience of growing thick skin,all looks and derogatory comments just bounce off me
