I cant beleve you payed that much they have made fools of both of us. The electrics were fine so don't know what they did to them there was damp in the front right as you look at it from inside the van. The side were the dint is on the out side corner just starting to come through also the rails needed to be removed reseald and replaced and the rubber trimming that goes in them is shrinking so could let more water in not hard jobs just fiddly. Shes 33 years old so only things to be expected These jobs will keep her dry in the future. Her tyres including the stair are about 5 years old so need to be checked for perishing. I wish we had keeped her and used the money we had to fix her back up instead of getting a new van. If you contact eBay I will happily wright a letter for you saying they new the falts and lyed about it on the add. I did try stoping the sale but it had been taken off before eBay could do anything. The caravan was called candy and had been well maintained with us and before we got her. Did he try and make out they had her a long time they only had a few weeks

It's nice to be important but its more important to be nice
thankyou very much.we are now going to keep her as we have done alot of jobs inside and out. most of it was rotten behind the panels. the door floor was beyond repaie,so replaced it. and also we have sorted the fronts panels inside. there seems to be damp around the right window if you look towards the front from side. not sure how to tackle that yet. the casette player needs replacing as it doesnt work. yeah they said they had a weekend or two in it. anyway im looking forward not back now. im sure we can put it all right. was the floor inderneath originally plastic sheeting?

Fallenangel, at least you know that someone is now taking good care of the van and from the sounds of it, will continue to do so. The other couple would probably have scrapped or broken it before too long if they hadn't been able to sell it on.
Jon, I really feel for you, buying in good faith only to find out you'd been had! At least now you will have a van that you know is safe and dry for your family and the work and money you are putting in to make it right will be well spent when you are holidaying in her! I know it doesn't make paying those bills any easier, though. :(
Just my thoughts, for what it's worth. As Jon himself said, forwards not backwards now.
just another thought...it appears that the seller may have circumvented the charges of Mr Ebay....i.e they withdrew it from sale and then sold it cash....having used ebay to identify the buyer.
jonboy...have you told ebay of this as if it is only your email trail between yourself and the seller indicating this then ebay may not have noticed, and hence not applied sellers charges.
i.e. there is about £50 worth of ebay fees due from the seller to ebay....it woudl be nice to get a bit of commupence on the seller for their underhand tactics...(this would have no impact on you re the costs).
also i would suggest you remove your phone number as soon as angel has called as you never know who might use it.
