Im really rather puzzled by this as l have never come across a tv coax ariel point before that has one end with a screw in type of socket.
When we recently purchased our Avante, we paid extra for a coax point to be installed into our battery box to enable us to run our tv off the sites bollard points in areas of very low signal, such as often found around Snowdonia. The problem is though that this short cable terminates under the front bench with a screw in type connection just dangling on the end of a piece of wire. Could someone please tell me what l have to buy in order to run a conventional push in coax cable from here to the bog standard coax inlet in the back of my tv?
The caravan does have its separate built in ariel system for normal signal areas, and these are no problem, its just this extra cable we had fitted thats left me rather confused.
Thanks,
Julia

Well we are booked in to have our 'snagging list' done on the 19th September, so might just wait until then, im a bit dubious of cutting off any connectors as they all came with the caravan and the last thing that l want is to invalidate any warantee.
If the need arises in the meanwhile it will just be a case of leaving one of the front windows on night vent and feeding the coax cable in directly from the bollard as we sometimes did with our old caravan, just as a tempory measure.
Thanks for all your advice, its very much apprieciated.

You don't need to cut anything that would negate any warranty. You just need to change the end on a regular coax lead that you would have used assuming they fitted a regular socket.
Might be best if you leave it to the supplier though especially if you have a snagging list.
A more professional way for them to have done it would have been to install a wall mounted socket and supplied you a lead to run from this to the tv. Of course this would have taken them an extra few minutes and cost a couple of quid more. Might be worth checking for any other short custs they have taken.
Ours is fitted with the screw type connector, they do make a better connection, the one on the tele is the old type its a bit loose and dont how I fix it
