Just to follow up on this older thread, does anyone use a 2015 Suncamp swift 260 or the 220 Air porch awning ? We have the steel pole version atm & it has been great, but would like to replace it at some stage. Just need a 260/220 porch air awning which is reliable. How has everyone been getting on with their awnings ?
We have a Suncamp 260 with fibreglass poles and have used it few times in site as well as dry runs at home.
It's easy to put up and peg out and withstood some fairly stiff winds a couple of weeks ago.
One issue though and maybe someone else with one can advise?
The poles seem an inch or two too long coz the bit against the caravan seems too high up from the ground.
Has anyone else noticed this and maybe cut the poles down a bit?
On the air ones, love the idea but the asking prices are just silly money IMHO.

Yes its a 260
quite roomy for a table and a couple of chairs and on my long trip I had an extra chest fridge in there too.
Have ordered the 260 with the optional rear poles. Looking forward to using it next hols.
Thanks for your input Robin......appreciate it

Is this the quest ? If so cutting down the front adjustable poles will not make a difference to the rear height of the awning. Should fit a standard height van !
This is the one with the three hooped fibreglass poles.
Coz if I dig a hole and drop the pole ends into them the whole hoop drops a bit, it relieves the stress on the door zips and the strip down the caravan side drops a bit as well and looking from the end the hoop made by the poles seems to be higher away from the van and drops down as it comes to the rail.
Oh....the geodesec type. Had the same problem when using this type awning on a pop top we had. I did indeed cut the poles down, which made all the diffence. Why not Give it a go.
