A caravan has overturned on the A46 Lincoln Bypass.

The road is blocked with slow traffic and queueing traffic southbound between Riseholme Roundabout and Carholme Roundabout.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution.

Looks like a citroen c3 to me. Caravan looks to be an older one so should be quiet light but not sure if light anuff for that car.

Looks like a Citroen C3 or maybe one of the new style Mercedes A Class, really feel forever it was hope they ok.

I passed one outfit tonight north of Newark on the A1, in and out of the traffic overtaking, I was doing 70, and he was leaving me so must have been going faster. The van was swaying a little, so silly, speed limits are there for a reason. I thought this was an accident waiting to happen.

I hope the people at Lincoln are ok, horrible thing to happen.

Is it my eyes playing up or is the car + caravan facing the wrong way. Has it turned completely round as the car is nearest us as we look at it and the caravan is behind it tipped over.

Is it me???

Saw this earlier. I really hope this was a genuine accident and not some idiot with a small car and a big caravan besmirching the caravanning fraternity by being a complete wazzock. In these days of internet communication there is no excuse for ignorance of facts.
That is how I learnt.

Well it does seem a bit of a coincidence that that a speed camera is evident in the photo with speed zone lines on the road. This suggests that the (possible) cause was excessive speed to which the driver probably suddenly braked to reduce the speed. Having a light kerbweight car with a caravan in tow would cause snaking followed by a pendulum effect which would swing the caravan round thus the reason why the outfit is facing the opposite direction. Nevertheless, let's hope that nobody was injured and everyone was okay.

that went through my mind too! although it maybe possible that a car infront braked suddenly causing the same effect

This is at the bottom of a very steep hill, the cameras there because even solo cars "run away" on the decent.
