Hi We have been looking at buying a bigger caravan for a seasonal site but how much do they charge for delivery the Site --Dealer say 100 miles ,
We have a quote in so far £240
What do you think of this price
We would now require a starter pack and great after sales would be great (Our search area for caravan dealers is in the Midlands ) Any help would be great
Phillip--be careful who you use to transport youre caravan.Super cheap prices could mean they are under-insured to carry out youre move. They may well show you a goods in transit policy--but this could be based on weight and the return for a written-off caravan weighing under 2 tons might just about cover the price of 2 new tyres.Caravan haulage requires specialised insurance which is very expensive and has to be built into the running costs of the vehicles.Any company involved in transport from caravan factories has to provide documentary evidence that they are insured for the transport of caravans and not just general haulage. These are reputable companies and should charge a fair price..please remember that it is a 2- way journey and so the cost is for 200 mls. There are plenty out there who will "have a go"--nice and cheap--but should the unforeseen happen?
Hi if the caravan is under 1500kg my car could pull it unloaded but I will be checking if the caravan dealers can deliver it at a better price then quoted
Your advice has been noted (BRYANMITCH ) Thanks

Hi I traded my last caravan in and stated straight away I want my new van delivered to site and the old one taken away. No problem they said. Didn't charge me a penny and no I didn't loose out on the deal. They offered me the best price for my old van and the best deal I'd seen on my new one. Shop around and see who will do the best deal with delivery factored in
I did the same as CatieB. Bought from Chichester Caravans in Birmingham and they delivered, free of charge, to Oxfordshire (around 70 miles). I have always bought my caravans from them as the service is excellent.
