Hello was wondering if anybody has repaired a delaminated window themselves and what type of glue was used ? Was it easy enough or not. Thanks

Just got the call from Jeff.
The glue we used was called:

EVOSTICK ALL WEATHER STICKS LIKE SH*T CLEAR GLUE.(real name)

You will need the pump as the tube is a large long one, you put into those thingy's that you push the bottom up to get it out.

Got some clamps from Ebay and also some wooden washing pegs as it needs to be held together for as long as you can. We managed at least 6 hours before they was taken off by the storage manager as it saved us just stayin g their. But we have also to do 2 more little bits on 2 other windows so we have it in the car ready for use when we go away next week we will do it whilst away. If you have access then it will be easier to leave the clamps on longer.
Went down this Saturday to check it out and it is all done and this window separated totally between outer & inner panes including the top. So a big job, hence the reason why we had to leave doing the other 2 windows for another time as we are 30 mile from the storage.

Got this information via Lunar first who put us onto the people who put their windows in. But do not mend them.

So got the name of the glue from them first. Put onto BOSTICK themselves who do the Evostick as the best for acrylic windows. Phoned them as well and they said the same the same thing.

Got ours from Travis Perkins for £4.99 a big tube. But it has an open shelf life so cannot be left for a long time once opened.

Not B&Q Jeff and it is a one tube glue which made it a whole lot easier as I held the window up wide open and Bob was able to wipe the surround clean, make sure it was dry. The glue & clamp it together. Travis Perkins we got it from..

My large front window delaminated. I went to builders merchants and bought a tube of silicone called Sticks like s**t and a bag of spring clamps. Remove window and cleaned the both halves to be bonded, applied the sealant and secured with the clamps.Left it for 8hrs.
Replaced the window then secured with tape overnight.
The next day secured the window with the clips.
Tried pulling it apart..No way it really does what it say's. Oh get the clear one. Cost is £11.50p

Cannot seem to show the pictures anymore but the number is there. It was cheaper than elsewhere as well.

663688 is another number got from Bostick but Travis has the same product but under the other number above make sure it is clear.
I am in a wheelchair. my Bob is none too fit yet we could and did it. Wipe it clean around the edges with water only, dry and then trickle it all around as one strand if you can for neatness. Need someone to hold the window open & still for you as it wobbles a bit whilst you press the glue onto the window. Slow & steady.
Good luck. You will do it.

Yup! that's the one cost us £4.99 from Travis Perkins some other times it  was  £5.30 but not    .  £11.50  that was far too much unless it was for 2 tubes and was paying for the real price of the article + a little more for the same.

Mine must of been on offer although it never said anything. But when I telephoned early that week to make sure they had it  the receptionist she said it was £5.30 ea. so I got a discount. got my smiley's back.

This was the one thing my Bob did not want to do that is to take the whole window out especially living 30 mile from the caravan. Although ours separated as it seemed to fall apart as we opened the window.  We  found it was a lot easier than we thought
well pleased with results.
