We have just acquired a Trigano Silver 420, which is a low pop up caravan which is under 2 metres and therefore class 1 on French Motorways.
The problem is that the standard awnings are too tall, so it needs a specialised size.
I phoned Jeff Bowen at Anglia Awnings last Friday and this is the sequence of events. Fri 23 at 3.30pm Do you have a Walker Weekender awning to fit a Trigano Silver 420?
Sorry we don't have one but will check with Holland to see if they have one in stock Fri 23 3.42 pm
Holland are out of stock, but will make one for you. My problem is that we need it for next Friday and there is a Bank Holiday in between.
No problems, they will make one and ship over to you for next Friday. Fri 30 10.00 am
This is to let you know the awning will be delivered between 13.09 and 14.09 today and the driver will be Dimitri Fri 30 13.34
Dimitri arrives.
At last! ...it's great to hear of a company that actually performs and delivers solely in the interest of it's customers. This makes a refreshing change as customer service just seems to be getting worse these days with most companies I have dealt with this year anyway. Well done Anglia Awnings for the ultimate customer service.
Well that is confusing as there is another company called Anglia Awnings who have that name for their website and the Jeff Bowen 'Anglia Awnings' web site is as you state - bowenawnings.co.uk.
Hope you have good holidays in your new 'van.

Alas and alack....fate always has a way of biting you in the bum!
The awning arrived so quickly, we were gobsmacked.
Trial run with awning on the overnight trip before the ferry crossing. Awning would not fit onto frame, dismantled, checked the drawings, had full and frank discussion with wife, rebuilt it and again the awning would not fit. Measured the poles as indicated by plan and the distance between eyelets on canvas ..over 2 inches too short each side. Packed up everything and emailed Jeff Bowen as to what was the problem.
Nothing heard for over a week, during which time we were in a heat wave in Provence.
Call from Holland said the plan was wrong for our model and we should discard 2 of the poles. The frame and awning now matched...hurrah
The side panels were designed for some other outfit than a Trigano, so the only way to get it looking correct was to have loads of material flapping around inside. This obviously was not correct and there were no instructions supplied as to how to place it.
Emailed again to Jeff and getting more than slightly peed off with the follow up service. Got a cursory reply that the material went alongside the van and that was all.
It does not take long to go from ecstatic customer to a disgruntled one.

Mmmmmmmmm - but you *love* lots of flapping canvas, don't you? - at least, you did when you were extolling the virtues of your amazing Holtkamper and it's 1.65 acres of billowing grandeur
Now you have lots of the same lovely cloth in your new contraption - you'll be able to sit under it like a Arab on a Fry's Turkish Delight ad......
As for Ollie - take no notice of him! - he's just piqued that you led him down the garden path to Holtkamperland, and then turned on your heels and left him to it.
------------- Getting Old, Staying Active (much to Mrs Folder's dismay..)
You are mistaken....we still have the Holtkamper with its acres of designated canvas panels, It is the supreme expression on canvas camping.
The purchase of the Trigano is medically inspired and is only a trial. (We are having to adapt to cramped conditions)
The awning in question had extraneous material that served neither a functional nor aesthetic purpose.
As for Ollie he has learnt the difference between price and value, and has risen above the politics of envy
