Hi all, am really excited, we are going off this afternoon when hubby finishes work. First time in our new caravan!!!!
We are only staying local (1 1/2 hour away) to Fforest Fields, just as a kind of trial run. We are staying 2 nights. We went in June, but were tent camping, so will be really spoilt this time!!!!
Hurry up hubby!!!!!

Hope you have a good time.
If you havnt towed a van before, have a look at the map or google earth so you knwow where your going.
Make sure you have hook up lead and water pump etc Nd you'll be fine.
Start making a list then of all the things you've forgot, you should finish this list in a few years.
We're back!!
Had a brilliant time. Putting the awning up was a nightmare, but eventually sorted it out. We've colour coded all the poles now, so should be easier next time.
It was good to do a couple of nights for a trial run. Just getting a few bits and pieces that we need now. Then we are off again on Sunday. Going to Fforest Fields again, as really didn't want to come back home. We are going for 4 or 5 nights this time. Woohoo can't wait. We've decided to take a quilt this time, instead of a sleeping bag, and see how that goes!!!!

Glad you enjoyed your selves.
We cant wait to go away again. we took are quilt last time instead of sleeping bags so much nicer.
Not sure what to put underneath yet. I've been looking at mattress toppers by duvalay, but they're really expensive!!

Home and Bargain and B&M both sell decent mattress toppers. You'll find it easier to store if you cut it in half with a knife, then just put it together for a double at night. I use two singles, matress topper stays on top, covered with throw, sat on all day. Saves trying to fold or roll up and store.
