We scouted around until we decided on the layout that suited us, we then looked at all the different models. We also compared prices with local dealers and on the internet. We then went to the show at NEC and struck a really good deal with a local dealer. That was important to us for servicing etc. We have a Bailey, Unicorn Barcelona and love it to bits! Good luck with your search!

BUT
wanting what you have.

I like the fact that sales people aren't hanging around in the forecourt. It is better to look around without being hassled. Also I think they realise that people make several visits before choosing the layout. I would not rewrite off the other dealers and play one of the other when you decide what you want. We bought a brand new Pegasus and got all sorts thrown in.
We are looking to buy Twin Axle in January late on we want it for a seasonal site next year (No more towing for me doctor"s orders) We are also thinking of buying from a dealer so it can have a precheck over .
The caravan we are after has to have this
L shape Lounge
Full Size Fridge Freezer
Twin Bunks/Fixed Bed
End Washroom is a must
Had a look at some Hymers and they really are outside what we wanted to pay...we've also determined that the BMW can't tow what we originally thought it would, so limited now to 1300kg...so think it's got to be an Adria...also think that due to the lack of 2013 models left for sale, we're going to wait until the show.
Thanks all...some really interesting stuff to think about...we've never been to the show before, so looking forward to that!
I think everyone has their own idea what caravan to buy and you will get a multitude of answers and preferences.
the main thing to look at is the dealer network and availability of spare parts, servicing etc.
When it comes to reliability of foreign vans you will not see much in the way of complaints, because there is such a small amount of them on our roads compared to home makes.
If you go on the caravan forums in Germany for instance you will see all the same complaints about damp etc in their vans.
there are 28 Adria dealers in the uk and 98 swift group dealers, Hymer has only got 10.
Choose the van that you like the best and you cant go wrong.
the best caravan is the one that you really like and is best for your needs.
