Hi Everyone.
I have bought an old CI Sprite but not sure what model and year it is. I have tried to upload pics but with no joy. I am converting this into a mobile Haircut Hut and need to purchase breaks and bearings but have no idea where to start. All advice would be appreciated. An email address would be good so i can send the pics.
Thanks in advance.

Look for a mobile engineer online to come and check the chassis, brakes, etc. It's not a lot of money for peace of mind when towing.
Be careful when taking out furniture and stuff like that, it's usually fastened to the walls and forms part of the structure which stabilises the caravan.
Would also recommend a service for peace of mind and more importantly perhaps, safety. Ours was £115 well spent, thankfully just needed new tyres and he also replaced the gas pipes.
Chassis and suspension parts will depend on the year as over the years they have changed a bit but if it is a CI manufactured Sprite the chances are it is a CI chassis with Knott components.

I've always found with bearings the cheapest and most reliable method is to remove them and take to my local bearing supplier. I give them a wash in petrol first though as he gets moody if I give him a bag of greasy bits.
Never had to replace brake shoes but if I did I'd start by looking for any part numbers on them.
An independent caravan/trailer workshop, ie not a large main dealer can usually source chassis parts going right back to the 80s so look for one in your local area. A chassis service is usualy about £70 plus parts.
