Looking for suggestions for recovery. Have heard mayday pretty good but would need to buy cc membership to get this meaning it woukd be £106 in total. Is this still a good deal or can you recommend any others? Thanks in advance x

Mayday is the best for UK recovery if you are towing a caravan. The CCC offering using the RAC is also very worthwhile and whilst being more expensive it will cover the outfit whilst abroad in Europe.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

Its not more expensive if you haggle on the price.

If you pay the full advertised price then yes the RAC is dearer. I was set to leave them this years because they wanted nearly £180. A quick call soon got that lowered.

You tend to need to be a member of a club somewhere to get the the caravan covered.

Well worth joining Caravan Club as their CL sites are so good generally - definitely worth the membership and their Mayday recovery is very good.

Rac quoted £144 with c&cc, mayday £101 with cc.

Going to go with mayday as would like to try some cl sites.

Decision made! !
