I've just purchased this caravan as a first timer but the only guidance that has come with it is a user manual for the water heater. I am wondering if anyone has any instructions for working the electrics or any further advice that may be useful.
I had a abi daystar once and the electrics were very simple, there was a panel of switch above kitchen that were labked, awning light, extractor fan, pump and kitchen light I think.
Other than that under the seat area there was a switch for the water heater ( a fused switch ) and a switch fir the heating fan above the TV shelf.
Maybe take a photo of your switches and we could tell you what they are.

hi anne marie do not know if this will help i had no manuel with my lunar caravan when i bought it emailed the company direct and they emailed me back with a download of the instructions to print off ian
Thanks for both of your responses, Ian I'm not sure if Abi will still have any manuals as apparently they have only done statics for a number of years, however I will try.
We've had a mess about with the switches.
My husband seems to think that this is how the lights are working, can anyone confirm?
When the switch is in the off position none of the lights work but the plug sockets do.
When the switch is on the caravan position the lights work and the battery gauge goes up to show what charge is in the battery. This appeared to go down whilst the light was on so we are unsure if the lights were running off the battery or the electric hookup (which was plugged in)
We haven't tried it on the car position but I assume that this is what you would use if the caravan is connected to your towbar and electrics?
I have found a manual for the Carver water heater and tried that once there is water in the system. it goes to the green light and then goes to red after about 5 seconds. I've tried to follow the instructions by turning it off and back on again but it just does the same. Does this sound as though it is faulty?
Yeah when it is on ehu it powers all the sockets no matter what the switch is on, when switched to caravan it will also charge your battery and all 12v works.
When towing put on car so it charges up battery on the move.
Pictures need to be copied from photobucket or similar.
This might be a stupid question... but did you have the gas turned on when you tried the carver? I had a blonde moment one time thinking ours was dead as the light went from green to red after a few seconds. When I looked it up - in the booklet it said problem with the gas supply. The problem was it wasn't on... so I'm just checking in case I'm not the only one that would do it :-)
As for the other switches, we have an '89 ABI so likely to be similar. They confuse me, but I'm sure Rob (hubby) can answer any questions you have as I think we finally have them all sorted now.
------------- Finally made the move to a caravan in June 2013, after working our way from a two man dome up to an eight man trailer tent. Proud to be members of the crappy caravan club :-) Adventures so far in 2013... Canterbury, Salisbury, Paignton, Minehead & Weston-Super-Mare
