A caravan has overturned on the A1(M) blocking both lanes of the southbound carriageway. Emergency services were called to the motorway between junction 60 and 61, in County Durham, at around 10.50am this morning. A police spokesperson said the caravan overturned but the car towing it stayed upright. County Durham Fire and Rescue tweeted: "Crews attended the A1M near Bowburn where a caravan had jacknifed, 1 female adult was released using Holmatro and taken to hospital."
I hate that part of the A1(m).they should have planted trees to act as a wind break on the west hand side, when its windy you can feel your car been pushed around.
Nothing worse than a cross wind, bad drivers, fast coaches zooming past you etc you can see coming but you can't see the wind coming, especially if you don't know the roads.
