We have a lunar clubman SI 2011 model.
Not certain if its just this make but when the caravan is sited with all steadies down we suffer from shakes and wobbles when one of us moves around or walks inside.
I am at one end on the front sofa area and the wife is up the other in the shower and I nearly fall out of the seat, ok an exaggeration but it feels like it.
The Caravan is level and sited on wooden blocks of wood, on hard ground. We also have the BIG FOOT on our steadies.
Anyone else suffer from this?
What can be done?
I notice the steadies are bolted to the floor and not the chassis in this caravan.
Any help appreciated.
SWMBO has always been more sensitive than me when it comes to the wobbles when walking around our Lunar SE.
I note that your 'van is also over 7mtrs long.
I believe the wobble is due to the fact that the steadies are a long way from the axle and the chassis itself is flexing.
If you put the corner steadies down firmly it doesn't seem to make much difference as what you are in effect doing is slightly lifting both front and back of the 'van with the flex becoming more pronounced because the road wheels flex.(I would hasten to add that I am not advocating this practice).
Not that this suggestion is to be used for every occasion but, when we are away for a protracted period especially in Spain in the winter, I put axle stands under the axle partially taking the pressure off the road wheels. This results in a very firm floor with no wobble of any sort. I wouldn't be surprised if this is what is done at the exibitions to give a feeling of 'rock steadiness'

Thank you both for the advice.
Yes is 7.2 metres long or there about.
I will try those chassis stands upon our return to UK in October. Perhaps they can be obtained from the Caravan show at NEC?
Anyway we have been away since 30/04/13 and are currently on a site on the Costa Blanca enjoying the final summer sun of our extended touring holiday.
Mark.
Just wondering if your on hardstanding like small stones ?
We have a big van (see profile)and have big plastic feet fitted but,i lower them down onto long pieces of decking on the stones and this stops wobbling. If i dont use the wood the vibration in the van will make the feet "slide"on the stones.

The address looks like a private residence. Maybe it is a guy with a good idea who has not marketed it very extensively. Might be worth an email to him to see if he would ship to the UK and take paypal or similar for payment. I would imagine it is the locking mechanism that is the key component but I would not be too happy about trying to find a strong point on the centre line at the rear of the caravan.
