i have just got an old abi ace viceroy its lovely but where do you plug water in I found and outlet and inlet on the end does it have an on board pump does anyone have any manuals for this van
It could have a manual foot operated pump in the floor near the sink ?, we once had a 1997 Pennine aztec folding camper which had one, it looked like this,
All we did was fit a piece of piping to the inlet and place the other end in our water container

no foot pumps anywhere, it has a hot water tank under the seat and a red pump lever when pressed makes a sucking noise there is now where to plug a 12 volt pump in just the inlet on back of van confused
Are u not ment to use a pump that goes into water but, Thats what mines like on my sprite. On the inlet on out side is there 2 copper plates on sides if so its a in water butt pump
If it is a 1990 like our Viceroy, you should have a flap on the right hand side near the gas water heater vent, lift the flap and you should find your submersible pump & water filter housing. You should also find a water pump switch in the kitchen above the hob along with a car/van switch & awning light switch .
does your viceroy have a water heater under the seat how do you turn it on is it gas or electric how do you light it I have found where to plug the water in now and the little cigarette little 12 volt plug on the back now its just the water heater to sort out I don't spose you have any manuals
We have a 1989 Viceroy and the water heater is under the seat. To switch it on there is a switch in the cupboard above which has 3 lights on. Ours is gas only, if yours is, make sure the gas is on, make sure that there is water in the heater, switch the switch down and the light should turn to green. If it doesn't keep trying as the gas can take a while to come through. The switch is run from the 12v system so make sure that is all connected up, although we find it a lot easier to light when on 240v. I am presuming it is a cascade water heater that you have? if so you should be able to find details via google search. In our Viceroy, the switch is on the base of the seat but it is the same type of switch as on nanashirley's van.
It has 3 lights, green on its own means it is working correctly, green & red means the gas hasn't lit (you sometimes have to try it a few times when you 1st arrive on site), green & orange check your battery if your not plugged into the mains.
In find it takes about a 1/2hr to heat up so its hot enough. Then I switch it off again when finished with so we don't waste our gas and I am still on the same 7kg butane bottle since Easter 2010!
