Ours sometimes does this and often wont let go of the wheels when disengaging, a bit of a kick usually does the trick. We always get the dealer to service it on our annual service. J x
My remote for the reich has lasted for four years on the battery. There may be stones inside that have been picked up from sites with hard standings causing it to slip. Alternatively the rollers have not been wound on to the caravan tyre sufficiently

We bought a van 3 years ago its a 2005 Bailey Ranger 460 2 birth fitted with a Reich motor mover which was fitted when the van was new and it still works well with out any problems I replace the batteries every year and it has never let me down.Ian

I have a PowrTouch mover, don't know if it's the same but if the communication link to the board from the remote is an issue this can be checked by using the supplied direct wire connection.
normally a main battery problem i think,a motor mover needs a full battery to operate.if its down slightly and to try to use it,mover stops when battery voltage drops.try fully charging the battery and try again.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Check the aerial - it's a short - 6" piece of black wire that comes out of a small hole in the mover "gubbins" box.
Mine broke off and I had to remove "gubbins" to release a small bit of aerial and solder back in the remaining bit.
Now works brilliantly
