Sitting in caravan at the moment ,doing a bit of rocking, but fortunately in the direction of the storm i have a six ton Winnebago next to me so giving me a bit of shelter.
Amazing - we were supposed to be right in the path of it. Must have just been lucky.
Tragic about the young girl sleeping in a caravan being hit by a falling tree. We always aim to avoid being near to trees after one fell at the site we were on in Cornwall. Had it gone in the opposite direction, it would have got our caravan.
Bertie.
We were down on the mendip hills in somerset, we felt the storm go through from around 4.30 - 5.15. That was an experience and a half, luckily we were only on the edge of the storm, but i was a very rocky 45 mins, scared the hell out of me as it was our very first trip out in our new to us caravan. But we lived, my thoughts also go out to the girl in kent.
