Ours is (Adults only) a Caravan Club Farm Site and my husband is into fishing and it has a pond with it.
Next year on our list .
1/ Twin Axle Caravan
2/ Motor Mover
What on your list Andy and Jane ....
A storage box to go behind caravan (permitted)
New windbreaks (bit nicer than our current ones!)
Extra (Fiamma) door lock (you never know!)
Memory foam mattress
Large water container!
I guess we will; like you, try a year and see how we go. We have camping friends that also have taken a seasonal pitch there, so we will see more of them.
We love Weymouth and the surrounding area and to us it is a kind of trial to see if in the future we might move there.
Corni that's like asking the length of a piece of string
the one we used this year was £1160 paid in one lump sum,but it was a no thrills site just elec hook up no facility block ect. unfortunately this site has been lost to tourers now being redeveloped with wooden lodges. You will have to phone around to get prices and if your electric is included or metered
Ours was £1200 1st March till 31st October. Electric was extra. We did one season, back to touring next year. Found we didn't use it enough to justify the cost.
------------- 73 going on 25
Beauty is in the eye of the beerholder
Were paying £2200 21st March till 1 Nov. This includes electricity. More than most but we love the site and location. We will use it for about 60 days.
For us it is the convenience of going whenever we like and not being told 'fully booked'.
we will be on our 3rd year next year on our seasonal pitch, we love it! Not for everyone I appreciate but suits us as we had a bad accident whilst towing which really knocked our confidence but did not want to give up the caravan. Our fee's are £1850 lovely site with indoor pool and bar, open 1st March to 2nd Jan, electric extra.
Our Kids love it an have made some really good friends which we have too.
My parents use the Van in the week when were not there an we are there most weekends
Hope you enjoy your pitch!
Hi Rob2011 That is the reason we are giving up touring because last year we had a bad accident.while towing and after 30 years .We are going to give Seasonal a go . We have our name now on (Adults only site) with Hard Standing Super pitch including a Tap , Waste and Drain, Awning Electric Hook Up and Amenties, Storage, is included through the winter period, a fishing pond (For Husband) . On March 1st 2014 and it is very reasonable as well lol
Hi Philip22, i hope you like it as much as we have. We did not want to give up caravanning as we love it so much so it was our only option, the ease of arriving on a friday an be sorted within 10 mins is great! If i am working my wife can go on her own with the kids, we also find it so much more relaxing removing the stress of towing, setting up an packing up, sunday mornings are great when everyone is packing up to be off for 12 we are sat relaxing as dont tend to leave till nearer tea time.
Ours is £825 for 12 months including electric. In Ceredigion, near Aberystwyth. Lovely site. Lovely people. New toilet block being built for 2014. Has statics, tourers, seasonal pitches and tents. Play area for kids. Also has a little shop and fresh eggs from their hens .
