Does anyone have one of these 'vans or had one in the past? We might be looking at one in the near future, but have been unable to discover if the Truma boiler is Gas/Electric? Is the front (main) bed made up using the table or does it have pullout slats? Anything mega we should look out for?
Thanks
Adrian.
Hi Adrian
I had the 550 from new for 7 years it was a brilliant van
well made and a good buy, they were built to uk spec so the water heater is gas and electric,i had the fixed bed to the rear but the front was pull out slats that pulled out from the sides under the cushions so i would think the 560 is similar. the only thing to look at is the spare wheel carrier it pulled out on to the wrong side of the road but apart from that it was a good van.

Hi adrian
Glad to be of help any questions just ask, i loved that van and my best friend still has one just one thing to be aware of is they are heavy compared to the same size british van.
Hi Adrian - I remember your advice when we were looking at a Geist.
Anyway we didn't get one - got a Knaus Starclass 470 instead and it's fabulous. One thing that we've found is that the door and drawer catches can work a bit loose and may need packing so they catch properly. Also check that the fridge door latches properly as ours tended to open when we are travelling. We also had a shower door catch snap on us but all of these things are really easy fixes.
